CHARLEY PRIDE

RBC Theatre

 ;

In celebration of his 40 plus years of touring Canada, the incomparable Charley Pride returns to Canada for select concerts in the spring of 2010.

With an amazing 36, #1 singles to his credit, and album sales in excess of 70 million, Charley Pride concerts feature back-to-back hits including “Crystal Chandelier”, “All I Have to Offer You is Me”, “Does My Ring Hurt Your Finger”, “Kiss An Angel Good Morning” and “Kaw-Liga” to mention just a few.

In 2007, the legendary country music star released “Pride and Joy” – a collection of gospel music, featuring “God’s Colouring Book”, with Dolly Parton, “Amazing Grace”, “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” and “Family Bible” featuring Willie Nelson.  Also included is “Jesus, It’s Me Again”, penned by Canadian Dick Damron.

Pride has played to sold-out crowds from coast-to-coast throughout his distinguished career, garnering rave reviews city after city.  His rich baritone voice and engaging stage presence have made him a concert favourite.

A proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, a Grammy and Country Music Award winner, Charley Pride’s music is timeless and treasured.

While it is an over-used phrase, the Texas born artist truly embodies the phrase ‘living legend’ – no one before him or since has made his or her mark, quite like Charley Pride.

Country’s pride and joy on tour in Canada next spring!
